About the job
We are looking for a Compliance Officer to be responsible for the continuous development of the Nordic Semiconductor Group’s compliance framework and programs. It is an exciting time to join Nordic Semiconductor as we continue our rapid growth while having high aspirations together with enthusiastic colleagues worldwide. The role function is relatively new to the organization and offers you an interesting opportunity to influence and create value from day one. The position will be responsible for compliance for the Nordic Group, report to SVP Legal & Compliance, and work with other specialists in the Legal & Compliance department in addition to collaborating closely with all other stakeholders in the Group.
Key responsibilities
Nordic Semiconductors Compliance Officer is responsible for supporting the Board of Directors and the CEO in providing oversight of and ensuring relevant corporate compliance risks are handled effectively, and consistently throughout the Nordic Group, hereunder:
- To develop and continuously improve Nordic’s compliance framework with the purpose of preventing and mitigating violations of relevant laws and regulations in the execution of business goals.
- To proactively support and provide guidance to the Board of Directors, CEO, management, and the organization at large, in developing compliance awareness and skills to fulfill their respective responsibilities as defined by relevant rules and regulations and Nordic internal requirements
- To develop and continuously improve Nordic’s compliance programs, hereunder but not limited to anti-corruption, anti-money laundering, sanctions & trade compliance with all relevant components (i.e., management commitment, risk assessments, policies & procedures, training & communication, monitoring, and reporting)
- To support Nordic’s Privacy Responsible in the continuous development and execution of Nordic’s Personal Data Protection program
- To support the Nordic organization to assess and organize current and future obligations related to the increasing regulatory regimes within sustainability and ESG
- To handle Nordic’s Whistleblower channel and support investigations/reviews related to non-compliance matters.
- Contribute to raising awareness, maintaining, and strengthening Nordic’s culture of integrity and compliance, e.g., through training, communication, workshops, and management reviews
Qualifications and skills
- Master’s degree in law, or other relevant education
- Minimum 3-5 years experience from compliance work in an international and preferably listed company
- Ability to understand and interpret regulations, evaluate relevance for the operations of a company, prioritize areas and communicate this in a good way
- Experience in establishing the implementation of regulatory requirements into efficient operational routines
- The ability to navigate in a global matrix organization
- Professional communication skills in both English and Norwegian
