Do you want to be instrumental in ensuring we are a front­runner in the transition to a more sustainable painting tools industry?
In Orkla House Care we have a concrete and ambitious sustainability strategy that ensures we are rigged for the future. As Sustainability Manager you will drive and track our sustainability strategy. You will achieve this by actively collaborating with our different departments and, through a cross-functional sustainability council, drive Orkla House Care's overarching sustainability goals. In this position you will get a unique opportunity to define how the company works with sustainability, as you will be responsible for making sure that the whole company delivers on the strategy.

Main tasks:

  • Track and update our sustainability KPIs
  • Ensure progress on the sustainability agenda in line with the strategy and KPIs
  • Advise on product- and service innovations to ensure that we meet our goals for sustainability
  • In close collaboration with managers, follow up on the KPIs laid out for the different departments and drive the proceeding work for the different parts of the company
  • Implement and run a cross-functional sustainability council, that discusses topics that is of common interest across the company
  • Be responsible for internal and external communication related to sustainability
  • Participate, on behalf of OHC, into Orkla's network of sustainability professionals, and make sure that our work is in line with Orkla ASA's overarching goals and ambitions
  • Coordinate the internal work to ensure that OHC delivers on our part of the reporting into Orkla's annual sustainability report, as well as other reporting requirements on an ad hoc basis

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree in a relevant field
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant business experience, preferably from a corporate environment
  • Experience with sustainability/CSR is a plus
  • Leadership background and/or experience with leading change processes is advantageous

Personal characteristics:

  • Strong analytical abilities
  • Efficient, independent and can drive progress in several different fields
  • Ability to build internal and external relations, and being able to cooperate with people on all levels of the company
  • Having a positive and can-do attitude
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Good collaboration- and stakeholder management skills

Orkla House Care is the leading provider of brushes, rollers and other painting tools. Including relevant consumables such as sanding, tape, protection gear and cleaning equipment. The main markets are the Nordic countries, Benelux and the UK. The main proprietary brands are Jordan, Harris, Anza, Spekter, SAM and Hamilton. Sales are mainly through traditional paint shops and trade merchants. The business has around 850 employees and the total business has a turnover of approximately 1,6 billion Norwegian kroner. Most of the products are self-produced and distributed through Bankeryd in Sweden, and Bromsgrove in the UK. The head office is at Skøyen in Oslo.
