The HR business partner leads and manages the people management related agenda for their pinpointed hotels and area of responsibility.

The position will work closely with our hotel General Managers, Head of Departments, HR colleagues and other key stakeholders to build capabilities, plan and develop talent, and provide recommendations to achieve the shared organization objectives.

The HRBP is a true generalist and is required to provide strategic and operational functional support to drive the HR agenda in following areas (but not limited to); change management, talent & performance management, succession planning & talent pools, talent & acquisition, compensation & benefits, employee relations, employee engagement, people development, on boarding, training and payroll relations.

The position reports to HR Director Norway, and will be located at our support office in Oslo, however with the with the possibility to remote working and or working from one of our fantastic hotels across Norway.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Understands key business goals, and business priorities, able to apply to core areas of HR responsibilities in order to prioritize work and set goals.
  • Support, follow and drive legal employee cases in eventual legal conflicts.
  • Develop, roll out and update human resource policies and procedures as necessary, ensuring compliance with relevant statutory legislation and industry best practice.
  • A first point of contact/escalation point for specific questions for General Managers and Head of Departments regarding their team members.
  • Provides input into org design discussions, support the area Learning & Development team in implementing global and local learnings as well as identifying development programs. (i.e. Centers of excellence, succession planning, attrition risks).
  • Support the HR Director on contractual matters in terms of documentation and advice.
  • Implementing the Company’s performance management and improvement systems and providing continuous support and advice to Management.
  • Benchmarking of compensation / benefit packages and assisting with compensation queries as necessary.
  • Contribute and lead HR projects as needed and appropriate

Required Skills and Experience
  • University degree in Human Resources, employee legislation or similar field is desirable
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience, including HR experience.
  • An expert in Norwegian employment law, employee relations and legislation.
  • Effective interpersonal , employee relations, change management and team development experience
  • Ability to be flexible, adaptable and work effectively in and across international teams
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Norwegian
  • Experience in a Hospitality and/or the Tourism sector is desirable
  • Knowledge of one or more HRIS systems, Workday experience is a distinct advantage
  • Work permit for Norway is required

Location:

The primary location will together with other support functions, be the Regional Office in Oslo, with the possibility to remote working and or working from one of our fantastic hotels across Norway.
