Environmental Certification Specialist

Flokk is looking for an Environmental Certification Specialist responsible for achieving and documenting the environmental performances of our products. To maintain the position as a leader in the industry, we are strengthening our sustainability department based in Oslo. 

Our new Environmental Certification Specialist will manage and curate our products' environmental certificates, securing that all our products have the right certificates in place available on our internal and external channels. As we are currently digitalizing our sustainability processes you will be involved in shaping the digital solutions as we progress as well.

Responsibilities: 

• Manage environmental certificates of Flokk's products: create and re-new environmental certificates (e.g. EU Ecolabel, GREENGUARD Gold, EPD, Swedish Möbelfakta, FSC) 
• Take lead in the planned roll-out of our new Environmental Certification Strategy  
• Communicate the progress of the certification strategy through all Flokk's channels (external and internal) 
• Ensure that product and corporate certificates are easy to access and always up to date 
• Support qualification of chemicals and new engineering materials, based on requirements from our certificate range (paint, recycled plastics, PUR foam etc.)  
• Support upgrade and maintenance of Flokk's Environmental Requirements towards suppliers  
• Develop, implement and maintain overview of chemicals (including MSDSs) used in our certified products 

Qualifications: 

• A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in relevant disciplines, chemistry background will count positively 
• Minimum 3 years' experience on environmental certification of products, with deep understanding of environmental requirements 
• Knowledge of product development and LCA work will count positively 
• Analytical and system technical skills, experience on complex data processing 
• Ability to integrate and communicate effectively across the organization 
• Strong English written and verbal communication skills
