Main duties and responsibilities:
As a SQE you are responsible for coordinating suppliers and verifying quality standards in accordance with the requirements of our organization.
Main duties:
• Monitor the quality performance of our suppliers and regularly perform reviews and necessary actions to
secure compliance
• Analyze suppliers' quality performance and identify improvement areas
• Handle supplier non-conformance
• Handle escapes (including root cause analysis, 8D investigations, containment and corrective actions)
• Issue authorizations of "Request for pre-release"
• Participate in supplier work transfer evaluation and monitoring
• Support concurrent engineering between GKN and supplier (design for manufacturing)
• Communicate with release agents and monitor their performance
• Maintain quality records and certifications
• Report supplier performance and quality to management
Candidate requirements:
* Engineering degree (BSc, MSc or equivalent) is preferred, but applicants with relevant work experience might also be considered.
* Minimum one year relevant experience within a manufacturing facility, preferably from the aerospace industry
* Experience with product qualification activities or inspection/control.
* Working knowledge of root cause analysis, 8D and continuous improvements.
* Computer literate and good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Systems and ERP.
* Fluent (oral and written) English and preferably Norwegian.
The right candidate must have good interpersonal skills and be able to effectively work and communicate at all levels; both within and external to the organization. The candidate must be a problem solver that uses their analytical skills to find strong solutions to quality related issues. We also see that the candidate is structured and self-driven with the ability to work independently under pressure and tight deadlines.
Workplace will be Kongsberg, but the position requires occasional international travel.
