Embedded Electronics Developer

We are looking for an Embedded Electronics Developer to develop our next generation of products. The role will focus on electronics design, working closely with the rest of our cross-functional Engineering and Development team to drive solutions.

The work will be performed in a structured product development framework where the engineers can contribute to shape new products from initial requirements through development and testing, all the way to field deployment and customer feedback.

The candidate should be keen to learn innovative technologies, work in a larger cross disciplinary team but also be part of a smaller electronics team and able to take on ownership and responsibility for small and large parts of product design and implementation.

You should have at least some of these qualifications to apply: 

Experience with analog or digital electronics and embedded design, preferably from industrial applications, including 

• Design and simulation of electrical components and circuits 
• Production processes for board level electronics 
• Developing test strategies for electronics 
• Experience with production hand-over and ramp-up 
• Experience of designing to meet industry standards, EMC, safety etc. 
• Designing circuits and selecting components for high temperature applications 

We expect you are well versed in the following development aspects: 

• Design tools for schematic and PCB-layout  
• Circuit level simulations tools  
• Using lab equipment for test, prototyping, and debugging   

Other qualifications that we value: 

• Experience in broader application areas: 
• Electro-mechanical applications involving actuation 
• Sensing technology and Electromagnetics 
• Experience with multi-chip modules and hybrid electronic devices 
• Knowledge of downhole oil and gas applications 
• Experience with designing electronics for harsh environments  
• Scripting languages  
• FPGA development tools and synthesis  

Formal requirements: 

University/Engineering degree within electronics, cybernetics, instrumentation or similar 

Relevant experience may compensate for lack of formal education.
