InterMoor currently have a very exciting opportunity for a Base Manager to join their expanding team based in Sløvåg on a full time, permanent basis.The Base Manager will be responsible for providing effective day to day management and leadership to ensure the business performs in a safe, profitable and sustainable manner.
Reporting to the Operations Manager; the Base Manager will have a focus on developing new business opportunities in the area as well as maintaining current clients. Working with the InterMoor Operation and Management team, you will continually seek ways to develop and improve the people, processes, equipment and facilities within InterMoor.
Duties:
• Provide leadership to create and sustain a proactive and accountable safety culture amongst all staff
• Ensure that the Base Team are coordinated to ensure optimal use of resources
• Establish and maintain effective business relationships with customers as well as other external parties
• Provide support and regularly communicate with the IM team, both formally and informally as required to ensure highest level of operations are achieved and expectations are understood
• Determine adequate manning levels for areas of responsibility to meet the needs of the business, including the use of staff, contract and fixed term contract personnel and ensuring that utilization is maximized for business success and profitability
• Set performance targets and objectives for all processes and personnel for which you are responsible and ensure that the annual appraisal reporting round is effectively delivered
• Contribute to compliance with the company's QHSE and Management systems and drive the company's safety work at the base and follow up HSE incidents reports and contribute to investigation when Root Cause Analysis is needed
• Follow up training and competency requirements for own team and register progress and competency in training portal for all team members
• Ensure Lean principles are well integrated in the daily business activities and optimise work processes on all aspects so as the base and operation at all time are efficient and delivers at highest standard
