About the Position

Due to continued increased activity and healthy business growth, we are looking to fill 1 permanent position as a Customs Coordinator.

  • We are also looking to fill a Customs Coordinator position at our office in Bergen. For this position, we will prioritize relevant experience, but are open to considering filling an entry level position for an otherwise qualified candidate. This could be a great opportunity for you who is motivated, precise in your work, and interested in gaining knowledge in a highly supportive professional environment.


Entry Level

If applying for an entry level role, you will be learning the many aspects of the position while working side-by-side with a local experienced mentor, supporting operations from day 1. These positions are open to anyone who is sensitive to internal and external customer needs and is excited by the idea of applying this passion in an international, diverse, and inclusive environment. Training will be provided, and the goal is to develop into a fully independent, operational position.

Entry level positions are available for all applicants, including you who are interested in the industry but have no formal experience. They are also open for you who has years of experience and want now to take on new challenges in a company that values your competency.


Experienced

If applying for an experienced level role, you will receive initial training in our systems and routines and have access to a network of internal experts in all relevant areas. Once you are ready, you will work alongside your colleagues in your team and in cooperation with our other departments throughout Norway and the GAC world. Within the first few months, we will work with you to identify your strengths and motivations and adapt your role to reflect this.


Possibility for Home Office

This position may not require physical presence. We are open to considering home office solutions to candidates that are unable to come to the office due to distance, personal situation, or otherwise.


Daily Tasks

After adequate training, in a customs and logistics position, you will support operations and company strategy while performing the following tasks:

  • Accurately registering information in and out of our data systems
  • Checking documentation to ensure it is correct
  • Creating documentation as relevant
  • Coordinating with colleagues, suppliers, and customers by phone and email
  • Cooperating with colleagues at all levels of the organization to provide quality service
  • Planning and following up on your tasks
  • Other practical, administrative, and logistics related tasks as you develop in the role

 

Other Job details

  • Most tasks can be completed during regular work hours; however, we provide 24/7/365 service and there will be periods of higher workload as well as work during irregular times
  • These positions provide a unique opportunity to collaborate with a diverse team of colleagues in the maritime industry in a company that values what each unique individual brings to the table
  • Upon hire, you will cooperate with your leader and others to create a training plan aimed to help you reach your potential. Responsibilities will be increased with proven competency
  • Candidates with relevant and non-relevant experience who want to learn a new skill are also welcomed to apply to entry level positions


Desired Qualifications

  • Genuine interest to apply yourself and further develop your competencies
  • Proficient written and verbal English skills
  • Ability to understand Norwegian in a workplace setting may be an advantage but is not a requirement for the position in the warehouse. Professional level comprehension of Norwegian language is required for the Customs Coordinator position
  • Comfortable using data as a work tool
