Gexcon is a knowledge and technology leader in risk management, and dispersion, fire, and explosion safety. Our consultants advise a variety of industries on how to safely build and operate high-risk systems, working with hydrogen, natural gas and biogas, petroleum, electric storage systems, chemicals, flammable dusts and more. Among the services we deliver are:
- Modelling of accident consequence (gas dispersion, fire, and explosion)
- Qualitative and quantitative risk analysis
- Ensuring regulatory compliance
- Process hazard analysis
- Accident investigations

Duties and responsibilities
As a consultant in Gexcon you will be part of a team working on interesting and challenging studies for local and global clients. Key responsibilities are:
- Work with clients to understand their challenges
- Manage and participate in projects
- Learn and use our advanced consequence and risk modelling tools
- Develop and share competence with colleagues and clients
- Market and sell our services
Some travelling can be expected.
Qualifications
You should have a higher education in engineering, technology or science, with strong academic records, and the ability to combine your theoretical knowledge with practical application. As the use of advanced modelling tools is part of the work, a solid data technical basis is also helpful.
Work experience with our services or from a relevant industry is a plus, but not a requirement. Both recent graduates and candidates with experience are encouraged to apply.
Personal qualities
We work in teams and with clients, so good cooperation and interpersonal skills are vital. We share our knowledge internally and externally, so communicaition skills, written and spoken, are important (preferably both English and Norwegian). Likewise, the ability and confidence to facilitate meetings and workshops is a key skill.We can offer
