A short-sea Vessel Operator must thrive on an operationally intensive workday. You will be working in a dedicated team of professionals, lifting contract and spot cargo with a combination of both Car & HH / Break Bulk segment.

Responsibilites:

• Overall operational responsibility for assigned trades
• Coordination of vessels/voyages & cargo in close dialogue with all stakeholders
• Optimize assigned vessel/voyage results through combining maximum capacity utilization with cost efficient operations
• Support Port Procurement with information to follow up suppliers to deliver according to contract in the ports you operate.
• Work closely with customer responsible to priorities cargo and produce forward shipment plans.
• Ensure planning sheet is updated with information on port calls details that influence costs into SOF and other important information affecting turnaround of vessel and impact on result.
• Focus on keeping t/c result according to budget.

Required Experience and Qualifications:

• Strong understanding of transportation processes and customer expectations
• Able to communicate well with suppliers, agents, and colleagues and at all levels
• Operational experience in a hectic shipping environment
• High result orientation combined with detailed understanding of profitability in Sea Transport
• Fluent in English
