Gram Car Carriers ASA is looking for a candidate with technical background

To strengthen our technical team, we are now looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic candidate with technical background to work out of our Oslo office. 

Responsibilities:

• Keep overview of the technical condition of the nominated vessels.
• Ensure that appointed third party ship managers deliver agreed services, with focus on minimizing risk of unexpected off hire.
• Be main contact for the ship managers of the nominated vessels and other external parties in regard to technical issues.
• Conduct vetting inspections of vessels on a regular basis and be actively involved in planning and execution of dry-dockings.
• Work closely with the commercial department in GCC AS and ensure timely reporting of technical concerns.
• Support efforts to further develop digital reporting platform with ship managers.
• Take active part in green initiatives, and follow vessels CII performance.
• Approve and control OPEX budgets and reporting and ensure that any deviation or unforeseen costs are reported and explained as soon as possible.
• Take active part in project management as required.
• The Technical Manager will report to the COO.

 Qualifications:

• Minimum 3-5 years’ experience from similar work. Likely background as officer onboard, superintendent, or similar.
• Positive, curious individual, good at interaction with crew onboard the fleet.
• willingness to travel extensively to inspect vessels trading world-wide.
• Interest in digital tools, that can improve vessels performance monitoring.
