About the role
As a software analyst in our products department, you will be supporting a range of geoscience applications including geophysics and data-management products.

You will:

• Utilize your geoscience knowledge to aid customers and guide them through their workflows
• Liaise with customers, developers and product owners/subject-matter-experts where necessary
• Help with general testing and QA where necessary for reproduction of issues

Sometimes, the customer comes to us with a simple problem - an installation issue, or a misunderstanding of some functionality. But often they approach our software analysts with questions about how best to use our tools in complicated real-world problems. With the support of our subject matter experts with decades of experience and our amazing software developers, you'll grow your knowledge and competency in a wide range of fields and unlock amazing opportunities.

Together, we will solve important challenges for current and future customers.

Who you are?
You are likely to be a recent MSc graduate in a geoscience field, possibly geophysics, and interested in how technology is used in the energy industry. You might have dipped your toe in some coding, data-science, or automation - but certainly you want to make everything you do easier, faster and better. To top it off, you are conscientious, detail-oriented and fluent in English.

About our Software Products department
We specialize in products for the energy market - currently primarily oil & gas customers but we have a mission to extend our reach to other types of energy clients. Some of products are plugins to Schlumberger's Petrel to make the users' lives simpler. Some are specialized geophysics tools delivering AVO analysis or inversions. And others focus on data-management and help customers make sense of their terabytes of subsurface data worth hundreds of millions of dollars.
