Hydrocarbon Accountant - manage and secure data processing through the hydrocarbon value chain

As a Hydrocarbon Accountant you will be responsible for ensuring that the hydrocarbon allocation and hydrocarbon accounting activities are performed to the highest standards.
 

You will manage and secure data processing through the value chain for all Sval assets. This includes the hydrocarbon value chain for all products and for each individual field, and to ensure that all volumes sold represent the Sval Energi equity production. You will be part of the Hydrocarbon Value Chain team, and will cooperate closely with the Legal and Commercial in addition to most departments in Sval, as well as external parties.
 

If you are a structured and well-organized person with a combination of focus to details and accuracy on one side and curiosity, interest in mathematics/statistics on the other side you are the one we are looking for. Additionally, if you are interested in data analysis, that is a clear benefit to the role.

Beneficial IT qualifications:

• Experience with data analysis and reporting using tools such as PowerBi
• Some experience from programming in Python, R, Visual Basic or similar languages
• Background or interest in digitalization and data flow automation

This role is right for the one who enjoys controlling the hydrocarbon value chain, and sound engagement with stakeholders across the organization up to and including interaction with partners and operators. We imagine that you are a person who thrives on achieving good quality results and likes to cooperate with internal and external interfaces. We expect you to have a university degree and a commercial mindset, knowing when and how to prioritize and to be methodical in your work. The position reports to the Hydrocarbon Value Chain Manager, and work location is in Stavanger.
