Our goal is to create a data-driven AI tool that measures and predicts positive social and environmental impact. Together with The Norwegian Research Council, data scientists and an AI team from Bakken & Bæck and impact competence from Katapult Group, we are working on creating a new standard for impact measurement in startups. How can we adapt sustainability standards and measurements to startups? We want to create more awareness about how investors can make better and more sustainable investment decisions.

With sustainability and fighting climate change climbing up on agendas of countries and companies, the need to define and measure impact of companies on society is becoming more and more important for startups and investors.

The position

You will be a part of TheFactory Growth team and an international team consisting of sustainability experts, analysts, data scientists and AI experts. You will attend workshops, team collaborations and work individually with:

• Research improved methods for impact measurement in startups
• Defining impact and how we can measure it
• Gathering and analyzing data from startups
• Run case trials and testing measurement tools
• Measure startups current impact and impact development over time
• How can startups improve their impact in the long term
• Analyzing our startups members needs, traction and growth potential

The position will report to the CEO of TheFactory Growth, who is also the project manager of the project you’ll be working in.

Who are you?

It is essential that you have good analytical skills. You like to do research on how you can define and measure impact, how you can gather, analyze and predict data. You like to find ways to structure and present data that can have an impact on people and the planet. You are curious to work with AI and big data. You are passionate about sustainability and creating impact and possess good knowledge about sustainability. You are curious, driven, like to learn and have a problem solving mindset and are motivated by new challenges.

Other key things we look for in a candidate:

• You have at least a bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (e.g. data science, data analytics, sustainability, statistics) or equivalent experience.
• Preferably 1-5 years of experience within a similar position
• You speak English and preferably Norwegian
• You should have a genuine passion for impact, sustainability and startups
• Ability to work in a fast pace environment
• You are motivated by engaging in a variety of tasks, depending on the needs within the team
• You display a high degree of effective, proactive communication, both verbally and in written form
• You take responsibility for your work and reach out to support colleagues when needed
• You are passionate about your area of work
• You are a natural and effective problem solver. This requires a solution oriented mindset, even in challenging situations
• You are a team player and have a good culture fit with our team and company
