We are seeking a dedicated Logistics Specialist that is self-driven, competent in prioritizing and working with little supervision. The candidate will work broadly in the organization and interact with the company's business and technical departments to define the company’s logistic requirements and needs. This is a new position within the logistics teams, which allows you to shape and develop your role, but also requires you to be structured and thorough. To do so, the ideal candidate will be self-motivated and trustworthy. The Logistics Specialist will be based in the Morrow’s office in Arendal on the South coast of Norway.
Tasks and responsibilities:
- Support in the development of inbound logistics operations from global suppliers for both battery materials and equipment to Morrow’s giga-factory site, in close cooperation with construction, production and purchasing functions.
- Manage outbound logistics operations from Morrow’s giga-factory site to customers in close cooperation with production and sales functions.
- Proactively handle ERP logistics subsystems, as well as documentation required for import and export of equipment, battery materials and battery cells.
- Work together with key external stakeholders such as logistic partners and Arendal harbour to ensure a coordinated approach to cost effective, efficient and on-time delivery of both inbound and outbound logistic flows.
- Deliver Morrow’s logistic strategies to match our production volume as it scales, focusing on cost, sustainability, delivery lead times, and on-time delivery.
- Co-ordinate responsibly all external logistics processes and be actively involved in all of Morrow’s logistics initiatives.
Requirements
Education/Experience
- Master's or Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management and or other relevant disciplines.
- Minimum 3 years of logistics experience, ideally in the battery, process, chemical or related industries and the import and export of materials and finished goods.
Specific Skills/Abilities
- Strong understanding and knowledge of logistics strategies and execution
- Good business acumen with an understanding of supply chain management
- High level of integrity
Strong analytical capabilities
- Fluent in English is a must; additional languages are a plus
- Proactive and pragmatic approach to solving challenges
- Self-driven with the ability to perform well both individually and in multi-disciplinary and cross-functional teams
- Flexible to work across time zones
- Good planning and organisational skills, with attention to detail
