Skyfri Technologies is looking to add motivated candidates with ambitions and the urge to be part of a cleantech that will contribute to fight climate change. Being well-funded and in fast growth, we are now looking for a CFO to come join us in making the world a greener place, and someone who can take part in the value creation of the company.

Skyfri is a fast-growing, international, clean-tech company, backed by some of the world’s premier institutional investors. The company was started by serial entrepreneurs and industry professionals with track record in establishing companies from the very beginning to IPO. The company currently is in a scale-up stage, with over 100 employees, products sold and live in multiple markets.

Skyfri are solar asset caretakers, on a mission to fully automate the operations and maintenance of solar power plants globally.

We do this through deploying cutting-edge technology, an open and transparent culture, and a problem-solving attitude. We have a solid team with a variety of people of different backgrounds. We have a green profile, and we seek people who wants to join us on our journey to make solar operations fully autonomous. Given the speed of growth we are in, we are seeking an ambitious, humble and curious CFO, interested in being part of this adventure.

 

An introduction to the position

Skyfri will expand through sales of software and firmware, but also through active M&A activity by the leadership group. Currently we have subsidiaries in Singapore, India and Canada – all of these owned 100% by Skyfri. Our operations in India count 60 employees, and we have accountants and a controller that works with the financial in this organization. But, we are seeking someone that can keep the overview and top-down control, establish reporting functions and corresponding KPIs to keep track of all companies.


This is a position where the candidate will have a lot of freedom in shaping the role. You will get a unique opportunity with working in an environment with people who are passionate and energetic about the company, the technology and sustainability. Your daily tasks could look somewhat like this:

·      Support the CEO, COO and founders.

·      Be “Hands on” on Budgets, financial reporting, business plans and strategy. You will have an overview of the cash flow and financial status of Skyfri Holding and its subsidiaries.

·      Be an active member of the management team of the company.

·      Management information, company presentations and the CFO report.

·      Operational, monthly and quarterly review meetings with Skyfri Business Units.

·      Make investments, approve projects and make other business decisions within the authorization matrix and the operating system of the company.



Other responsibilities include...

·      Ensure that the company has a cost-efficient organizational structure for the accounting, treasury, tax and other functions within the CFO responsibility.

·      Ensure that the company has efficient finance and control systems.

·      Together with the management team, ensure that the company has proper budgets, financial reporting, strategies and business plans in place.

·      Ensuring that the CEO, management and the Board receives proper financial information securing that important business decisions are based on facts.

·      Experience with investments and transactions done abroad. M&A experience will be positive. 

·      Take an active role in the financial follow-up of the Skyfri Business Units and Projects.

·      Together with Top Management and Legal and Compliance, ensure that the company has good internal control and proper risk management systems in place.

·      Secure strategy implementation execution and follow up.

·      Actively drive business improvements by addressing cost control, cost inefficiency, capital improvement areas, project performance and other areas impacting the bottom-line and the cashflow of the company.

 

 

Who are we looking for?

Our new team member should be self-driven and don’t wait for things to come your way, you seek opportunities. You want to contribute to deliver good financial results for Skyfri. Also, you want to work with renewable energy.


We are looking for someone who is positive, open and including. You are warm, empathic and nice, but you also have a lot of energy and willpower. You need to be fluent in English and able to communicate in Norwegian. You have relevant education, preferably on a master’s level.

 

What is your background?

Someone who has worked within finance, investment banking, consulting, etc. You have a good understanding of different cultures and like to work in a multi-cultural environment. It is desired that you have some experience with M&A. Since we operate on a global level, international experience is important. You have knowledge and understanding in dealing with different cultures.
