Senior Automation Engineer

Responibilities:

• Part of the automation team working on developing machines and robots
• Set up actuators, electrical systems and develop necessary PLC programs
• Design, source, develop and test automation solutions and safety systems
• Professional support and follow up of installation and start-up phase of installations
• As a senior, support and help other automation engineers as well as mechanical designers and software developers
• Planning onsite installation, testing and commissioning together with other disciplines

The position is based at our Aalesund office reporting operationally to CTO.

You are meant for this job if you have:

• In depth knowledge of PLC programming (IEC 61131-3 standard, specifically structured text)
• Experience with electrical systems, drawings and assembly
• Practical background (automation/electro certificate of apprenticeship)
• Experience with handling, set up and debugging of automation hardware (motors, sensors, etc.)
• Experience with development of automation solutions (budget, choice of components, project management etc.)
