Protector IP søker Patentrådgiver/ Patent Attorney

We are growing and need another patent attorney to our office in Oslo.

We are looking for a candidate with a combination of strong technical skills and patent experience.

The work consists mainly of advising clients within the area of Intellectual Property (IP). This includes drafting patent applications, prosecuting patents in various jurisdictions and providing various types of IP strategy advice to clients.

In addition to strong technical skills, the candidate must have an analytical mindset and good communication skills. We are looking for customer-focused candidates that are willing to go the extra mile for our clients.

Key areas of responsibility

• Strategic work related to identifying, securing, and utilizing intellectual property rights in general, but patents specifically
• Drafting of patent applications and negotiating the scope of protection with patent offices in various jurisdictions
• Manage and develop client relationships
• Manage client portfolios
• Conduct analysis/studies, such as patentability, infringement, due diligence, patent watch searches, FTO analysis and validity opinions, and provide advice to clients

Qualifications

• M.Sc. level or higher within relevant technical areas (such as electronics, mechanics, ICT, software, chemistry, material technology +++)
• Relevant experience from industry, research, or consulting
• Experience with patents and an explicit interest for IP rights
• Qualified European Patent Attorney is preferred, but not a requirement
• Fluent in English
• A demonstrated ability to adapt approach, style, and influencing capability based on the culture of the organization
• Demonstrated capability as a self-starter, collaborator, and having a global mindset
