Job Title: Legal Counsel
Department: Legal & Compliance
Reports To: Director Legal & Compliance & Corporate Secretary
Work location: Oslo, Norway
Job Overview:
The Legal Counsel will provide essential support to the organization's legal team, assisting in a variety of legal and compliance functions. This role involves the drafting, review, and negotiation of contracts, day-to-day legal advisory across the organization, and support for corporate governance and compliance matters.
- Assist in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts, ensuring compliance with laws and company policies
- Efficiently manage and archive corporate contracts
- Provide daily legal advice on marketing law, consumer law, GDPR, and other relevant legislations
- Update standard agreement templates and legal policies
- Help coordinate with external law firms as needed
- Maintain key corporate governance documents
- Support the preparation and coordination of board meeting agendas, materials, and logistics
- Advise on legal and regulatory impacts on the organization
- Assist with ensuring compliance with corporate governance and stock exchange regulations
- Contribute with implementation and oversee compliance policies, focusing on ethics and legal standards
- Identify and assist in developing strategies to mitigate legal risks
- Help conducting regular internal compliance and risk management training
- Participate in compliance and reporting activities related to the Transparency Act and ESG initiatives
Qualifications:
- Master of Laws from a Norwegian Law school
- Fluent in Norwegian and English
- 2-4 years’ experience from a law firm or inhouse

- Ability to work as part of a cohesive team across business units, countries, cultures, and regions
- Fluent spoken and written English, as it is our working language
- Solution-oriented mindset, with ability to be firm when required internally and externally
- Proficient at prioritizing work and able to handle responsibilities independently and autonomously, with attention to detail and accuracy
- An enthusiastic individual with a can do attitude
- Flexibility to meet deadlines and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
