Job summary
Lift Ocean aims to take a leading position in decarbonizing the high-speed boating industry, which is craving for energy-efficient solutions. Our hydrofoil systems significantly reduce energy consumption, enabling boat manufacturers and operators to deliver low- and zero-emission solutions. We are now hiring motivated, passionate, and bright minds to join us on this flight to zero-emission high-speed boating.
We are looking for an experienced and innovative senior mechanical or mechatronics engineer to work in an interdisciplinary team developing hydrofoils and control systems for hydrofoil systems. The candidate will be involved in R&D and project execution, following the products through all development stages.
Job activities
- Take ownership in the development of the mechanical components in the hydrofoil system.
- Define system requirements and specifications.
- Maintain close relationships with relevant suppliers.
- Work in close collaboration with the Lift Ocean interdisciplinary technical team.
- Other tasks, within the scope of the discipline, as required.
Qualifications
- Relevant higher degree education
- 5 years experience working in a similar position
- Fundamental knowledge of mechanical control systems.
- Practical experience from developing, testing, and validating of mechanical systems
- Knowledge of associated technologies such as electronics, batteries, and composites.
- Experience from hydrofoil projects and/or the aviation industry is beneficial.
- General strong computer skills (Microsoft tools, CAD, programming, etc)
