To achieve our goals, Grieg Seafood will strengthen the organization with new competence and are now looking for a Sustainability and GHG (Greenhouse Gases) Controller with excellent analytical skills to join our Finance Department.

Our new Sustainability and GHG Controller is a team player who can work with multiple tasks in a fast-paced work environment. You have great analytical and problem-solving skills, and you communicate effectively to encourage good working relationships internally and externally.

The Sustainability and GHG Controller reports to the Group Finance Officer in Grieg Seafood and will be located at our Head Office in Bergen. The position will interact with the global finance and accounting functions and work closely with the sustainability team as well as the communication manager.

Main tasks and responsibilities:

  • Climate accounting and sustainability reporting
  • Responsible for our GHG emission data, manage our GHG inventory system and support with data analysis and insights
  • Follow up our sustainability performance, and ensure quality and efficiency in our integrated reporting in line with established standards and frameworks
  • Monitor development of ESG related standards and frameworks to ensure that we report in line with stakeholders expectations
  • Contribute to identify opportunities to improve the use of systems and technology, and to assist in the design and development of systems impacting the GHG accounting, sustainability metrics and other relevant areas
  • Support other projects and initiatives within ESG topics

Preferred education and experience

  • Master degree in accounting, finance, sustainability, environmental sciences.
  • Experience of reporting according to, or knowledge of, relevant standards and regulatory frameworks (for example GRI, TCFD, GHG Protocol) is a plus
  • An understanding and motivation for integrated monthly, quarterly and annual reporting
  • Strong interest and capabilities within using technical tools
  • Fluency in English and Norwegian, both verbal and written
