Telenor Global Shared Services are looking for a dedicated Cyber Security Operations Expert to join our squad Collaboration & Security Operations ? part of GSS Digital Workplace tribe.

We are responsible for development and operations of Microsoft 365 services to around 20,000 users across 9 Telenor locations.  We are also responsible for providing security operations services for Microsoft-based platforms including Microsoft 365 and End User Computing, and this is where you will contribute. Security is not an option but a mindset in Telenor and we want you who can help harness that mindset into securing our global solutions.

As the Cyber Security Operations Expert you will be responsible for securing and protecting network systems, applications, and data for scoped services.

You will be involved in monitoring and responding to cyber threats, helping organizations protect and secure their cloud infrastructure in real-time using cloud native technologies through managed security service offering. In addition, you will be running daily Security operations in close coordination with Security Governance function, Application owners and with our own Collaboration squad.

On a high level, the Cyber Security Operations Expert is responsible for the following security aspects of systems in scope:

• Configuration and maintenance

• Design and defense

• Testing and remediation

• Investigation

• Assessment of CRs and any new feature related to Office 365 and EUC platform from security perspective

• Be a SPOC for coordination with internal/external SOC vendors

• Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent education

• SANS GIAC/GCIA/GCIH, CISSP or CASP and/or SIEM-specific training and certification

• English ? Spoken and written

• Norwegian ? Spoken and written

• Actively utilize your knowledge of IT Security principles, techniques, and technologies

• Love your trade, and like to research new and emerging security attacks and develop techniques to control risks

• Like to collaborate and can coordinate with various project teams to communicate the necessity of security requirements and design constraints as part of SDLC

• Are willing to share, and you mentor and coach other team members to provide guidance and expertise in their growth

• Like to work in a diverse environment

• Build good relationships with enterprise technology experts and business leaders

• Contribute to the team's efforts by accomplishing related results as needed

• 4 years of prior relevant experience

• In-depth knowledge of architecture, engineering, and operations of at least one enterprise SIEM platform (e.g., Nitro/McAfee Enterprise Security Manager, ArcSight, QRadar, LogLogic, Splunk)

• Hands on experience in the following:

  • Mitigate threats using Microsoft 365, Azure Defender and Azure Sentinel

  • Information security policies

  • System administration

  • Network security, Network protocols and Firewall administration

  • Problem solving and Process improvement

  • Security Incident and Vulnerability Management
