As a key player to the society, Telenor invests heavily in security, and to contribute to our important work we are now looking for a new colleague to join our Global Business Security (GBS) team in the position Senior Security Advisor ? Telco Cloud. We have high ambitions on security, and this is a unique opportunity for you that wants to develop and shape the content and execution of the role.

GBS provides guidance for security solutions across the Telenor group. ?We monitor, govern and advice the Business Units in all areas of Business Security. As our new Security Advisor, you will be leading our development on next generation mobile networks & cloud security and assuring that security is effectively integrated into telco core mobile networks, cloud providers and hyperscalers. With your expertise you will support Telenor Global Units and contribute with inputs on cloud security issues to Telenor global initiatives and projects.

This role reports to Head of Security Management and will be part of the security management team. You will become a part of a global team of highly competent and dedicated security professionals and collaborate with teams across Telenor Group and with world-class vendors.

As our new Senior Security Advisor ? Telco Cloud, you will have the following responsibility:

• Lead the development and assessment of next generation mobile networks and cloud security requirements, and operational processes including assurance ensure its execution across Telenor business units. 

• Be Telenor Group?s subject matter expert and coordinator within security in mobile networks and cloud area

• Lead security in sourcing discussion with partners and vendors. Drive security in major global projects.

• Participate and drive security in Telenor's security expert forums and communities including owning security governance document in the relevant area.

• Represent GBS as a global security expert, working with global business units, communicating, and presenting on all relevant security matters. 

• Build relations and align with relevant stakeholders to develop internal capabilities and means to combat existing and future threats

• Promote and actively contribute to strategic initiatives like 5G, IoT, Hybrid Cloud core networks and cloud/hyperscalers partnerships and integrations

We are looking for you who can relate to some of the following:

• Bachelor or Master?s degree in either computer science, information security, telecommunications or equivalent would be an advantage, but more importantly: a willingness to learn

• Relevant experience within telco and cloud infrastructure and/or security (i.e., NFV, 5G Core, SDN, cloud native and edge computing) 

• Knowledge of mobile security concepts, standards, functional and assurance components and a pragmatic, systematic, structured application of these (e.g., GSMA, 3GPP, NIST, CIS)

• Knowledge of telco mobile networks and cloud security risks and mitigation 

• Experience in telco mobile networks and cloud security architecture, certification in SABSA or TOGAF is beneficial.

• Understanding of digital business strategies, and how security strategically can enable and support business transformation needs. 

• Having the ability to clearly communicate security relevant information to all relevant stakeholders, considering their context and terminology (business, project managers, architects, developers, auditors)

• Strong English skills, both verbal and written
