PGS has an exciting opportunity for a Sourcing Manager to join the team in Oslo to develop sourcing strategies and drive related sourcing processes to obtain best commercial results for PGS in a compliant manner.

Responsibilities include planning, contract management, negotiations, implementation, and supplier relationship management. An important role will be to coordinate and support commercial sourcing activities within PGS.

The position is part of the Procurement & Contracting function and reports to the Head of Sourcing. Preferred location is Oslo, but can also be based from other locations, including London.

Main Tasks

• Develop and maintain an efficient supply chain in order to best utilize the PGS organization and its resources and capabilities.
• Ensure commercial best practice and develop deep understanding of cost competing technologies ensuring transparency of spend.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to identify commercial opportunities and risk related to suppliers, products, services and business plans.
• Develop a detailed understanding of assigned sourcing category and serve as the source of category insight, content and process knowledge to support category related business requirements.
• Develop sourcing strategies to ensure optimal market competition and maximum leverage for category purchases.
• Develop and maintain relationships with major suppliers to ensure inclusion of the appropriate suppliers in the right opportunities for maximum value creation.
• Serve as a subject matter expert to coach and advise the organization – and work as a facilitator for procurement opportunity identification.

Required Qualifications

• Education: Master’s degree in Business Administration, Technical/Engineering or equivalent (Siviløkonom / Sivilingeniør)
• Experience: 3-5 years’ experience from the procurement function in a large or medium sized international company

Demonstrated competencies in the strategic procurement and sourcing processes, including:

• Excellent analytical, quantitative and problem solving skills
• Proficient in building and delivering business cases, presentations and managerial reports to senior management
• Negotiations and contract management
• Supplier market research and data analysis
• Excellent English written and verbal communication skills
• Proactive, flexible team player capable of forming strong relationships throughout the organization while leveraging resources, processes and tools to achieve desired outcomes
• Proven ability to manage change and work across boundaries with personal commitment and drive
• Ability to work in a structured project environment
• Preferably technical related experience within procurement or other areas
