We are looking for you who have passion for technology development and research. Biocarbon as alternative reduction material for silicon alloy production will be one of your important R&D projects, together with other innovative solutions to reduce CO2-emissions into the future. We aim for dynamic and new-thinking mindsets.
In Elkem you will have the opportunity to develop new process concepts for industrial implementation.

Main working tasks:

• Project management of R&D projects within process technology for reduced CO2 emissions, included biocarbon development
• Responsible for project planning, execution (incl. experimental R&D) and reporting, in agreement with budgets and timelines
• Follow-up of test campaigns and perform data analysis 
• Process modelling and technology concept development
• Testing and implementation of new technology in existing and new processes

You have these qualifications:

• MSc/PhD in chemistry, metallurgy, material technology, or similar technology disciplines
• Experience with thermodynamics and modelling work is an advantage
• Good communication skills in English and a Scandinavian language, preferably Norwegian

We are looking for you who are self-driven, have good cooperation skills and will be a driving force for development of new technology concepts. You work in an analytical and systematic way, and actively contribute to our work on continuous improvement. You have the ability to build professional networks and make good use of them.

The position entails some travel activities during periods.
