Analyst positions

The team is seeking full-time Analysts to help grow our team on assessing green and sustainability finance frameworks as well as equities. The successful candidates will have a key role in analysing green finance frameworks and companies, as well as building client relationships and supporting business development. Our work combines environmental and financial analysis, the ideal candidate will have an understanding of both. The positions offer substantial growth opportunities and the chance to have an impact on the growing field of green and sustainable finance.


Responsibilities include:
  • Leading and supporting finance framework and company assessment, including analysing company financials and documents (sustainability reporting, internal policies and more), drafting short reports highlighting environmental concerns, presenting and discussing reports with clients
  • Leading and supporting business development processes, including participating in pitch calls and preparing proposals. The analyst will also present CICERO Shades of Green at external meetings.  
  • Supporting methodology and product development
  • Opportunity to participate in research projects depending on candidates experience and interest
  • Responsibilities will depend on level of experience and the candidate's background
  • The positions also include supporting some administrative tasks. We are a small and growing company; all team members are expected to pitch in as needed. 

Qualifications:

Required qualifications:

  • Master's degree in engineering, environmental or climate science, sustainable finance, accounting, business or other relevant field
  • An understanding of key climate change issues and activities.
  • Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Strong writing, and presentation skills in English. Additional languages are a plus.
  • Good project management skills and the ability to meet short deadlines.
  • Team player

Preferred qualifications:

  • Academic or work experience in the field of corporate sustainability or (environmental, social and governance) ESG analysis.
  • Experience and technical skills in one the following key sectors or their value chains: real estate, energy, industries with complex processes, manufacturing, transportation and sustainable banking.
