Oceaneering Rotator AS is located at Nodeland, 11 kilometers west of Kristiansand city. We are a 100% Oceaneering owned company (NYSE:OII).
We design, manufacture, assemble and test our own Valves.
Our productlines consists of Controlvalves (DCVs) and Chemical Throttle Valves (CTV) for Subsea and Topside. We are a leader within our niche, and supply customers in the Oil and Gas industry.
We experience exciting times ahead for our products and services – and wish to strengthen our team. In that regard we are looking for a Supply Chain Manager who can lead our functions - Purchase, Warehouse and Logistics.
Position summary:
The Supply Chain Manager controls all aspects of materials, from raw material purchases and delivery through shipments to customers. Acts as the owner of the procurement system and oversees procurement, planning, scheduling, inventory, and shipping/receiving.
Responsible for all aspects of the procurement process and system; directs planning of procurement and raw materials, including subcontracted services; responsible for inventory accuracy and turns; ensures that the procurement and material management processes are functioning effectively to avoid costly delays and lost sales opportunities due to availability of materials; and communicates needs and objectives to key internal and external stakeholders, including suppliers, sales, service, manufacturing and management.
Essential functions:
Planning/Scheduling:
- Works closely with Engineering on new jobs and product developments
- Provides input into staffing and capacity needs to maximize productivity and efficiency
Purchasing:
- Responsible for efficient and accurate ERP functionality
- Identifies primary and alternate sources for each item needed and encourages suppliers to remain competitive to achieve the best value (quality, lead time, parts, and service)
- Establishes and enforces procedures to ensure proper recording, storage and tracking of all items purchased by the Company
- Monitors prices of major commodities; analyzes impact based on annual usage and reports findings to management for budgeting purposes
- Monitors significant trends, changes in suppliers, and prices to capitalize on opportunities and/or protect company positions
- Prepares and issues POs for complex or specialized parts/materials to support production and sales
- Researches and identifies non-standard or at-risk parts and assist in developing new sources of supply
Supplier Management:
- Selects suppliers and works with the Quality department to qualify and measure performance in areas of quality, on-time delivery, technical resources/support, and ease of doing business
- Implementing company terms and conditions to obtain necessary materials and products in a timely and most cost-effective manner
Logistics:
- Oversees the shipping and receiving functions
- Responsible for in-bound and out-bound freight and carrier contracts and terms
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Production, Operations, Business Management, or relevant field. Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
- Minimum 5 years of progressive Supply Chain Management or equivalent experience
- Minimum 5 years of management experience
- Demonstrated leadership skills
- Experience in export compliance requirements and applicable laws
- Experienced in purchasing technical products/materials
- Ability to read drawings and other technical materials and specifications
- Ability to work independently and implement change where needed
- Dedicated to pursuit continuous improvement
- Highly organized, analytical and process driven
- Ability to communicate effectively and work well within a team-based environment
The position has supervisory responsibilities.
