This is an exciting role at the forefront of developing the infrastructure and production facilities for the first battery cell factory in Norway, and for others in the future.

Asset Owner Representative
The Operations Division is the ‘Asset Owner’ in Freyr. The Asset owner is responsible for operations of FREYR’s battery production Gigafactories and the supporting value chain with both FREYR and external suppliers. Prior to start of operations the Asset Development group drives the development and optimization of the Concept and Business Case that forms the basis for the final investment decisions (FID) and acts as the Asset Owner Representative in key delivery processes between FID and start-up.

Job Description
We are currently looking for an Asset Owner Representative to lead the Concept and Business Case development for future Gigafactories and to represent the Asset Owner in matters related to the business case until start of production.

The Asset Owner Representative will lead multi-function teams, represent the Asset owner in many key interfaces with other FREYR Business units and support key decision processes in FREYR.

Main Tasks

• Lead multidiscipline teams to select and optimize concepts and business cases for FREYR Gigafactories within FREYR’s Capital Value Process
• Represent The Asset Owner in key interfaces with other FREYR Business Units such as Projects, Supply Chain, Product Development, Technology, Finance and Sales
• Co-ordinate with relevant stakeholders internally, including senior managers and our project finance and legal teams
• Regularly review and update plans and risk assessments related to Business Cases
• Run regular status meetings/presentations with key stakeholders internally
• Ensure a continuous focus on HSE throughout all Asset Development phases

Qualifications Required

• Master’s degree in engineering or business. Master’s graduates in other disciplines may be considered for candidates with extensive relevant experience and a proven track record.
• Minimum 10 years’ experience from management and or developments related to industrial assets, including understanding of technical, operational and commercial matters
• Experience from investment analysis and business case development, preferably from complex, capital-intensive industries

Advantageous 

• Experience from management of multi-discipline teams and interfaces in a Capital Value Process, ideally as Asset Owner rep
• Experience from Operations and/or experience of asset management in a lithium battery production/processing or chemical processing plant

• Commercial mindset and results-orientation, with ability to use this to optimise technical and operational solutions to maximise value creation from investments in industrial assets
• Good networking and relationship-building skills, preferably from a “high pace” company
• Self-driven with the ability to perform well both individually and in multi-disciplinary and cross-functional teams
• Excellent communication skills in English, and ability to present complex information
• A proactive and creative problem-solver
• Ability to analyse complex data and identify relevant and valuable information
• Good digital competence and proficient in standard Microsoft 365 applications
