Hydro Energy has more than 100 years of experience in production of renewable energy. Today, we are one of the three largest operators of hydropower production in Norway and a large power market player in the Nordic region and Brazil. We are responsible for developing new business opportunities for Hydro within both renewable energy, hydrogen and batteries, and we provide support to the rest of Hydro’s business areas on contracts, security of supply and energy framework conditions.
Energy Markets is responsible for maximizing the value of Hydro’s power and gas portfolio and for providing energy portfolio management for our aluminium activities in Europe and Brazil. We are a diverse team of professionals located in Rio de Janeiro, Belem, Oslo and Rjukan. We are now strengthening our team and is looking for a Energy Portfolio Manager to contribute with your competence within European power and gas markets and challenge us with your crisp perspective.
Area of Responsibility
- Actively contribute to secure competitive power and gas prices for Hydro units
- Support Hydro units in a green transition and to achieve sustainability goals
- Advising and be a discussion partner with Hydro units on energy related questions
- Follow the fundamental drivers impacting the European power and gas markets
- Follow up on relevant energy policy topics that could have impact on our operations
- Maintain and further develop data management tools
Qualifications
- University degree within relevant business, economic, science or engineering discipline
- Gas or power market experience – ideally from continental European markets
- Fluency in English is required, German/French/Spanish would be a plus

Additional Information
Work location is Oslo or at any other Hydro locations in Europe.
The job will involve some travel activity.
