DNB is now looking for a Senior Staff DevOps Engineer with the overall responsibility for architecture, service offering design and driving the roadmap for our Engineering Platforms blueprint.

The section IEP Engineering Productivity is a tech family in the T&S Infrastructure and Engineering Productivity division. The Joy of Flow in Daily Work is our north star and our goal is to develop services and operate tools which increases the productivity of our engineers. In our portfolio we have Atlassian product stack (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket etc), Slack, SonarQube, GitLab, Nexus and other CI/CD tools for Cloud and Vulcan (our internal CI/CD-plattform for on-prem). There is now an open position in IEP Engineering Productivity for a Senior Staff DevOps Engineer responsible for the architecture and driving the roadmap for Engineering Platform to support the SDLC, identifying and designing new service offerings, in addition being active with advisory in various community of practice for engineers.

We are currently looking for a Senior Staff DevOps Engineer who wants to be hands-on and to be the architecture lead and responsible for driving the roadmap of scaling DevOps and supporting autonomous teams with pipelines that ensure compliance in a highly regulated industry with strict security requirements. At the same time deliver on our great ambitious for supporting our engineering teams to deliver at higher speed, with higher quality and taking full ownership of creating stable and secure products.

What are we looking for?

Do you have experienced in developing services and infrastructure for CI/CD tooling and in addition leading architecture work for developer/engineering platforms? Do you have a passion for making life easier for engineers while balancing the needs of compliance and security requirements? Do you love designing scalable solutions through architecture work and advising engineers in their quest to perform better? Does leading the work and setting engineering standards through service offerings and building the next generation engineering platform for Norway´s largest bank sound compelling?

Your skills/experience:

• 10+ years’ experience in software development and DevOps Engineering
• Deep understanding and hands-on experience of various DevOps tools for developing CI/CD pipelines
• Have strong skills and experience in various devops tools covering; test automation, configuration management, deployment tools, containerization platforms, orchestration tools, continous montioring, required to handle both front-end and back-end development
• A deep understanding of various CI and branching strategies.
• Experience with all phases of the software development life cycle, best practices and agile software development.
• Experience managing environments from development to production
• Experience in AWS and/or Azure

What will you do?

• Contribute to the team efforts to ensure high satisfaction with DNB's engineering teams
• Responsibility for ensuring compliance with corporate and technology strategy.
• Responsibility for establishing and developing good cooperation and interaction with the business areas.
• Responsibility for stable and secure IT operations
• Engineering Platform design, work closely in the interface of service management specification and technical implementation
• Identify automation opportunities which helps to increase flow, feedback and visibility throughout the software delivery process and lifecycle
• Responsible for developing and operating CI/CD pipelines providing the necessary tooling for test automation, code quality metrics, deployments. Supporting fellow engineers doing faster and safer deployments in addition insight into runtime performance
• Architecting and implementing common/shared libraries for monitoring, logging, security and more which connects to central tools
• Work cross-functionally within the tech family as well as with other engineering teams within the company on improving planning, testing, deployment and operations process.
• Mentor and train engineering teams in various parts of the DevOps toolchain
• Participate in prepare and deliver presentations, demos and POC
• Share your passion for staying on top of tech trends, experimenting with and learning new technologies, participating in internal & external technology communities, and mentoring other members of the engineering community
