Do you want to joint Norwegian Travel Company as our new cruise coordinator?
Norwegian Travel Company is one of the leading tourism companies in the country. As part of our ambition to set the standard for activity-based tourism in Norway, we are now seeking a cruise coordinator, a dedicated person to join our team to look after our cruise partners and enhance our position within the cruise market.
Cruise Coordinator – What is the job?
The role of cruise coordinator is crucial in building relationships with cruise operators and cruise companies. You’ll also work directly with cruise ships, and regional harbours to ensure an excellent experience of both our destinations, but also us as a company.
You will work as the connection between administration, and operations of our cruise activities, and will regularly liaise and communicate with large national and international cruise operators. Both short term, but also long term to ensure that our company is the preferred partner and destination.
You will also engage in sales to new and old customers by answering requests, sending out quotes and maintaining good relations. You will also be responsible for greeting incoming cruise ships and coordinating our cruise guests operation. At times your logistical and organisational skills will be tested due to the high pace of the job, but that shouldn’t be a big problem for you.
Who are you?
You are a highly structured person with an eye for details and an ability to work independently and purposefully towards our long-term goals.
Professionally, you are a good communicator and you like negotiation processes to ensure the best result for our company.
You have a good nose/natural relationship with system and logistics. You are someone who can thrive in a busy work environment, with the ability to think on your feet, and work closely with our operations department.
The person we are looking for works long term and purposefully. Our two high-seasons are June -August and December-March, which means that we need you to be dynamic and flexible when things get really busy. In the off-season you are able to plan and manoeuvre to ensure increased cruise activity to Norwegian Travel Company in the coming seasons.
Education/Experience
- You have experience in tourism, cruise, or similar industries
- You have several years of experience with either running or coordinating operations
- You enjoy negotiating with professionals
- If you already have a network, that’s an advantage

- You have excellent written and oral language skills in both Norwegian and English
