What to expect  

As a member of our Forensic team, you will provide direct assistance to financial institutions and companies across a variety of other industries. Our clients not only need to comply with regulatory requirements but do so in an effective and efficient manner through implementation of robust governance, processes and systems. You will help clients to develop and drive all aspects of their Financial Crime Risk Management programs, as well as investigating financial crimes. You will work closely with our local and global financial crime experts, as well as legal, technology, analytics and other experts to bring holistic insights to our clients and develop new solutions to existing problems.
 
Main tasks for this role include:
  • Plan, drive and lead client projects or workstreams.
  • Design and implement AML/Sanctions programs, including risk assessments, know your customer (KYC), technology solutions, governance, executive training, and remediation projects.
  • Advise clients on how to operationalise legal requirements in an efficient and effective manner to meet regulatory requirements as well as market practice
  • Develop innovative solutions to support our clients’ transformation objectives and ongoing financial crime risk management activities
  • Manage multi-disciplinary teams including legal experts, data analysts, business architects and technology developers
  • Be a role model for integrity, respect and appreciation of others.

Who are we looking for?

To succeed in the role as a Manager in our Forensic team, you need to have proven analytical and problem-solving capabilities and an understanding of the financial services industry. You have experience from planning and driving projects or initiatives. You have both an eye for detail and an awareness of the big picture, and demand results. You comprehend how the client’s business works and keep yourself up-to-date on industry and sector trends and leading practices. As our Forensic team works closely with other service lines in Deloitte, you must enjoy cross-disciplinary co-operation and be able to demonstrate good relationships with colleagues and customers.

Qualifications
  • Ideally, you have a masters degree within Finance, Law, Social Science, IT or engineering.
  • 5+ year’s of relevant experience from a role within consulting, advisory, audit, investigation or equivalent.
  • Alternatively, you have experience from a line role within a company with internal functions developing, operating or auditing/inspecting compliance programs related to AML, ABC or other financial crime related topics
  • We also consider strong project managers with backgrounds in governance, risk and compliance and with motivation to apply their skillsets to financial crime prevention.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Norwegian and English, that you can adapt to both technical and non-technical audiences, are necessary.
