About the position 

We are looking for a skilled and versatile person who will work with administrating our development, test, and production environments. You have experience from similar work, have an eye for quality and security, and are interested in further developing the use of tools for automation and monitoring in a DevOps perspective. The role requires extensive collaboration across the department in projects and teams, and here you get an important role in improving routines, in collaboration with your colleagues.

Admincontrol's server environment is virtualized with VMware ESXi and consists mainly of Microsoft Windows servers up to the latest generation. Databases are running on Microsoft SQL Servers, and the infrastructure is secured with products from Netscaler, Fortigate and Cisco. Development is based on CI / CD, where Azure DevOps, Octopus Deploy and TeamCity are key tools.

Main tasks

• Operation and monitoring of the production environment
• Work with the rollout of new code in different environments
• Work with setup and management of development, test, and production environments
• Access control for test and development environments
• Perform database tasks, such as preparing environments and database migrations
• Perform server operation tasks and work on solving different issues in our environments  

Qualifications

• Three-year IT education from a college / university, but particularly relevant experience can compensate for the education requirement
• Work experience from IT operations or IT development, and preferably experience in developing and working in DevOps environments
• Good network understanding

Our working language is Norwegian and English, and therefore very good written and oral presentation skills are required.

The person being hired must be able to be security cleared.

It is an advantage to have experience with:

• Multilayer architecture / hybrid models and the security challenges this entails
• VMware ESXi
• Azure DevOps
• Azure AD
• Continuous deployment and automated relese processses, preferably Ocopus deploy and TeamCity
• Deployment and operation in cloud environments, preferably Microsoft Azure
• Experience with operating and troubleshooting Kubernetes clusters and/or other container hosting platforms on Linux
