Systems Designer

We are expanding and are looking for you to be our new colleague to take part in the development within our Systems business. As a Systems Designer you will work with the larger ship equipment packages and be a driving force to optimize and compose suitable and competitive solutions. You will work close with the sales team, customers and the different product experts.

Our Systems Design and Integration department is involved in projects dealing with equipment from several Kongsberg Maritime product families delivered as an integrated system project to our customers. High customer expectations and state of the art technology enables us to respond on demanding requirements for sustainability and efficiency. A significant portion of our work is related to novel design where rules and regulations are not complete, and our engineering effort is essential to meet acceptance criterias.

Key accountabilities

• Design Integrated Solutions in the Kongsberg Maritime scope in close cooperation with Customers, Sales team, and product experts.
• Technical clarifications, secure systems integrity and prepare the package for contract and delivery are central tasks in this role.
• Use knowledge of Marine System and create sustainable solutions with KM products.

Qualifications and experience:

• MSc or BSc Technical / Naval /Electrical engineering.
• Experience from ship or system design, operation of ships or commissioning and service. 
• Engagement for sustainability as well as knowledge of class and authority rules.
