We at Jotun develop solutions for the most beautiful walls and the toughest outdoor products. In addition, Jotun's antifouling solutions make it possible to reduce world emissions from the shipping industry by 10%. Among other things, we are developing passive fire protection products that increase the evacuation timeline in critical infrastructure such as airports. Our powder coatings are an environmentally friendly solution to add the trendiest color to your new refrigerator!

We are incredibly proud that our paint from Sandefjord makes a mark on the world! And now we are looking for young people who want to develop in an international company for our summer internship.

Jotun Performance Coatings R&D is developing technically complex coating technology for marine, protective and powder coating applications. In our R&D lab at our headquarters in Sandefjord we are working on development of paint products, evaluation and characterization of paint films, colloidal mixtures, polymers and more.
We are now looking for 6 interns for the summer of 2022. As an intern at our laboratories, your work would include small projects involving making and testing coating formulations, report findings in written report and presentation. Students of chemistry, chemical engineering, chemical/industrial process and material sciences are especially encouraged to apply. 3rd + year students are preferred.

We think a good candidate for this position can act on his/her own initiative and make things happen. You adhere to company rules and procedures and use a methodical and systematic approach where you plan and define clear priorities. You quickly understand and analyze complex issues and problems and demonstrate knowledge in your own area. You also co-operate well with others, share knowledge, experience, and information in support to others in the pursuit of team goals.
