Project Engineer

An exciting opportunity has arisen as Project Engineer within Safety Automation Engineering. In this role, you will be a part of the Safety department within Oil & Gas division in Kongsberg Maritime AS, delivering Emergency Shut Down (ESD), Process Shut Down (PSD) and Fire & Gas Detection (F&G) control and monitoring.

You will be part of a team with highly skilled engineers with focus on delivering world class systems on time, cost and quality. As part of the role you will implement new software, onshore/offshore or in commissioning, using AIM as the configuration tool. We are now looking for a new member to the team who wants to work in a hectic and demanding environment

Key accountabilities

• Engineering and configuration of Safety systems
• Participate in delivery projects and collaborate in integrated teams with engineering project partners and customers
• Implementation of new configuration onshore/offshore or commissioning
• Participations in various kinds of projects, from large new build projects to minor MMO projects on producing installations offshore
• Testing and verification of the installed applications
• Travelling onshore and offshore may be required

Qualifications and experience

• Engineering degree (MSc, BSc or equivalent) within professions as computerized control systems, electronics or Software programming
• Experience with AIM or other relevant control systems
• Knowledge of Safety Automation system is an advantage
• Good communication skills in Norwegian and English, written and spoken
