Yara HESQ has an overall governance function for HESQ in Yara. It provides guidance and support to all operational units in Yara through a network of HESQ contacts.
A wide range of activities is covered related to health, environment, occupational and process safety, Chemical Compliance (REACH, CLP) and product stewardship, security, preparedness and emergency response
This function as corporate preparedness manager will report to the Corporate Head of Emergency Response & Security
• This position will be located at the Corporate HQ in Oslo and support all Yara corporate business units cross the globe
• Further work closely with our Regional Security and emergency response managers and head of Security Support and Preparedness unit. You will also work closely with other functions like IT, HR, Legal, Ethics and Compliance, Communications and more.
Responsibilities
• Support and advice all Yara sites and local security contacts
• Monitor security situation in area of responsibility, and if needed provide local assistance
• Implement transfer of experience across the company
• Take active part in processes, projects to develop security and emergency preparedness
• Support in conducting security risk assessments and security plans and other documents
• Conduct training, awareness campaigns and seminars on a regular basis
• Support in developing emergency response plans, and executing emergency training and exercises
• Provide emergency response support and advice to all Yara assets in the region (remotely or sometimes locally)
• Participate in HQ Crisis manager on Duty officer roster. Ca 6 weeks of duty annually (on call). Duty will be compensated
This function requires general understanding of physical security and emergency preparedness related to an all hazard approach. Including relevant methodological understanding and people skills to fill the position. In this function you must have the ability to work alone and in teams in a multicultural environment, and be comfortable working with all levels of Yara's organization from the local sites to the top management. A part of this function is to follow up and support dedicated business units as their point of contact in security department. Further any other duties or tasks as identified by the Head of Security.
• Bachelor's degree (or equivalent or higher) in Criminal Justice, Security Management, infrastructure protection, medical or a related field
• Minimum 10+ years of work experience covering security/physical security, risk management, risk and/or security assessments
- Preferably from police, industry security, government/, critical infrastructure protection or equivalent may also be relevant
- Minimum 3 years’ experience from relevant manager positions
• Experience from working internationally and experience as speaker/instructor will be an benefit
• Experience from field operations in a challenging security environment will be a benefit
• Some basic knowledge with regards to crime prevention, cyber threats, electronical sensors for detection etc will be an benefit
• You must be able to communicate well in English
• The position is a non-expatriate position on local terms.
• Global travelling must be expected, also irregular working hours during incident management
• Excellent interpersonal and team building skills, and ability to keep calm in stressful situations
• Relevant knowledge in office IT tools
• This is a manager position without direct reports
