We’re building a world-class legal team, are you our first Contract Manager?

Easee has so far utilized external advisors on legal matters and contract reviews, but we are now at a stage where we want to welcome our first inhouse Contract Manager!

Easee has developed from a small start-up to an international group company in only a few years’ time, which means the complexity of our business and the risk associated with it, has increased accordingly. Our new Contract Manager will be one of the first resources in a legal team and have the opportunity to influence how we develop the legal domain, both in Norway and internationally.

The right candidate for this role has high quality standards and a detail focus combined with an ability to see the overall picture and consequences for the global business. You value teamwork and like to understand other’s perspectives, but are encouraged to take initiative and challenge status quo.

Responsibilities and tasks

• Day to day contract management
• Overall responsible for contractual matters related to contracts with our customers and -suppliers
• Ensure that contractual risks in new- and existing contracts are identified, properly evaluated and mitigated
• Take lead in contract negotiations and help the organization achieve the best possible commercial contracts
• Review variations to our standard contracts
• Gain an understanding of warranty claims and what Easee is liable for according to our contracts
• Take lead in the process of creating templates for partner contracts across EU
• Managing potential contractual disputes
• Act as an internal advisor on contractual matters and be our point of contact for external legal advisors
• Ad-hoc inhouse legal tasks

The focus will be on contracts in Easee AS as a start, but the need for more global contract competencies is increasing, hence future international opportunities may open up for the right candidate.

Your background will include some of the following:

• Masters of Laws is preferred, or equivalent to that
• 5+ years of relevant experience and a thorough understanding of legal requirements in relation to commercial contracts
• Experience with contract negotiations
• Excellent English skills both verbally and in writing. Other European languages are also an advantage
