Position Summary

We are looking for a flexible and proactive Purchaser to join our Procurement and Contracting department in Oslo, Norway.

Reporting to the Head of Purchasing, you will be part of a dynamic team of professionals within operational purchasing, sourcing and logistics. You will be responsible for purchasing for specified vessels and departments, including follow up from requisition to delivery of supplies at end-destination, such as payment verification, handling of warranties, repair and non-conformities.

You will contribute to optimized use of IFS and other systems, lead certain improvements within the procure-to-pay process and award and follow up Frame Agreements in liaison with the Sourcing team. In addition, you will be responsible for providing training and support to the organization as required.

Main Tasks

  • Responsible for the day-to-day Procure-to-pay process, and purchasing of goods and services.
  • Act as a single point of contact for specific departments and/or vessels procurement needs
  • Optimize and ensure best price, delivery, terms and conditions according to PGS Procurement policy
  • Act as commercial interface between PGS and the Suppliers.
  • Contribute to the follow up of repair orders with internal stake holders and relevant suppliers
  • Handle interface with freight forwarder to ensure timely deliveries according to operations’ needs
  • Handle interface with the logistic team to ensure timely delivery of procured goods
  • Handling non-conformities/ mismatching POs/Invoices
  • Contribute to the development, implementation and maintenance of the purchasing processes, systems and work instructions
  • Support Procurement Category Managers with sourcing activities.
  • Contribute to achieve department goals

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree or equivalent 
  • 2-5 years relevant working experience
  • Good knowledge of the procure to pay processes and preferable experience with IFS which is our ERP system
