We are seeking Exploration Manager and Exploration Geologist.

Exploration Manager

The Exploration Manager will lead the development, management and coordination of Kuniko’s exploration programs. You will be responsible for the exploration strategy, target generation, planning and execution of the strategy. Furthermore, you will have the responsibility for prioritisation of the budget for exploration and resource development activities.

We are looking for someone who can lead, manage and mentor diverse field-based exploration teams including company staff and contractors. A vital part of the position is to provide quality geological analysis and develop targeting ranking criteria as well as short term and long-term strategies. You will also assist in the identification and evaluation of further project opportunities in the European battery and technology minerals sectors, and partner with the CEO and management team in developing and implementing strategic plans to the benefit of stakeholders. You will have personnel responsibility for the Exploration Geologist.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum bachelor’s degree from a recognised tertiary institution in Geology.
• Minimum 7 years’ experience as an exploration geologist.
• Experience in Scandinavia and/or in battery mineral commodities is highly desirable.
• Strong oral and written skills in Norwegian/Scandinavian language (desirable) and English.

CHARACTERISTICS

• A strong background in grassroots exploration and project development is highly desirable.

• Ability to work in a strategic leadership role on both a local level as well as that required of an internationally listed exploration mining company.
• Excellent leadership, organisational and management skills with an ability to mentor, coach and mobilize others to achieve high performance standards.
• Proficiency with geological, exploration and mining software; such as Leapfrog, Datamine, Micromine & GIS Packages.

Exploration Geologist

The Exploration Geologist will support the development, coordination, management and execution of Kuniko’s exploration programs. Working closely with the Exploration Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the exploration strategy, target generation, planning and execution of the strategy. It would be essential that you develop an understanding of the type of mineralization, its origins, metallurgical and mineral processing characteristics. You will be responsible for implementing and maintaining quality control and quality assurance systems relating to collection and processing of exploration and drilling samples.

You will be responsible for core handling, logging, security and storage and involvement in mapping, geochemical and geophysical programs. An important part of the job will be to support exploration field activities as required, including directing junior geologists and field technicians to ensure exploration is conducted safely and effectively.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum bachelor’s degree in Geology.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience as an exploration geologist, for the right person we can considerer recent graduates.
• Preferably proficiency with geological, exploration and mining software; such as Leapfrog, Datamine, Micromine & GIS packages.
• Well-developed communication abilities in Norwegian or a Scandinavian language and English.
• Experience in Scandinavia and/or in battery mineral commodities is highly desirable.
