Position summary

Oceaneering AS, and our local HR-team in Stavanger, are currently searching for a new Employee Solution Center (ESC) Team Lead to strengthen our team and capabilities to support Operations in Norway.

 

You will supervise a local HR-ESC team responsible for delivering key HR services and processes.

Work with multiple stakeholders across the company to trouble shoot and problem solve HR transactional activities in the full life cycle of employee events and deliver on HR’s strategic objectives.

Improve efficiency, productivity, and quality of HR service support structure and related processes and programs.

 

The position is located at Forus (Stavanger).

 

Duties/Responsibilities


Authority

Authority to act within scope of work and in accordance with the agreed upon mandate/authorization.

Authorized data processor of sensitive information, access to personnel files, archive & payroll information.


Area of responsibility

Provide daily support to HR operations team. Foster professional development and team building among staff.

Optimize service levels in daily HR operations through development and administration of Service Level Agreement (SLA) requirements, standard operating procedures, and case management technology.

Utilize a LEAN mindset to promote continuous improvement in building and driving solutions and processes across local and global Employee Solution Centers.

Lead various workflows to ensure efficient processing of all HR transactions. Understand priorities and work through complex issues to identify, develop and implement effective solutions.

Provide advice and counsel to local HR professionals, managers, and employees to ensure consistent application and integration of policies, procedures, and practices to promote an ethical and compliant work environment.

Oversee HR compliance, regulatory, reporting, and data analysis activities related to employee life cycle events.

Other duties as assigned.

  • Peoplesoft HR, Global Payroll & Absence Management
  • Evolution HR/HLO and/or other Personnel Management System
  • Microsoft Word, PowerPoint

 

Qualifications


Formal Qualifications

  • Relevant BSC/MSC degree (HR or Economics)


Skills/Knowledge/Experience:

  • Create a collaborative team environment; demonstrated supervisory skills.
  • Strong systems thinking skills – understanding the connectivity of processes and systems to effectively implement solutions or change. 
  • Ability to design effective and efficient E2E HR processes.
  • Excellent customer service, attention to detail, organizational, analytical, multi-tasking, and prioritization skills.
  • Keen to improve the “Employee Experience” and build the Employee Solution Center brand
  • Continuous improvement / LEAN capabilities – especially focused around HR processes.
  • Demonstrated experience leading projects.
  • HR & Payroll systems experience.
  • Hight IT literacy and advanced MS Excel skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, Norwegian and English.
