About the Unit

 

Program Controller - e.nable

Yara is currently looking for a program controller to join the IT Strategy and Finance department to oversee the financials of a large scale ERP enabled transformation program (e.nable) that will run over several years and will transform Yara’s current ways of working and introduce new ways of working to better support


The program mission is to implement a new ERP as a true enabler of Yara’s journey from a producer to a solution provider. Steered by the regions, the e.nable projects will optimize our digital core and our way of working. As such, e.nable will not only change technology, but, more importantly, the processes technology supports. The e.nable program serves to facilitate the coherence and consistency of the regional execution of this journey

The program ambitions are in line with Yara’s strategy and can be summarized as follows.

e.nable allows to optimize and better support our current business model and is an accelerator for operational excellence through automation, integration and easy access to real-time data and insight. 

e.nable allows to optimize our process & transactional layer and our way of working to better support new revenue models, services and business models and serve new geographical markets, this with respect for regional differences and autonomy. 


As we now have multiple projects starting up under the e.nable umbrella we are looking to onboard a Program Controller join this program at the start of the journey and is therefore able to put their stamp on the way we will monitor and financially manage the program and the projects within.


Responsibilities

 

  • You will take the lead in developing, documenting and establishing of the standards and guidelines for the financial management of the e.nable projects, ensuring the Yara’s existing guiding principles are reflected and applied. This includes the development and implementation of the approach to accurately measure benefits realization on both program and project level.
  • You will play a key role in defining the project business case and creating the projects budget and schedule. You will further support the projects in setting up their financial management tools, ensuring they can provide the required reporting towards the program layer. 
  • You will be responsible for accurate cost tracking on the program and consolidating the project financials, analysing budget variances and the associated reporting towards the program management.
  • You be responsible for supporting the projects underneath the e.nable umbrella that will range in size from 100k USD to 15MUSD, ensuring these project are compliant with the financial management standards and guidelines set out on program and corporate level.
  • Develop a project financial management runbook, outlining the standards and guideliens, as well as required activities e.nable projects need to adhere to in order to meet the financial management requirements. Apply existing Yara tools and templates where available, develop new ones in case of gaps.
  • Develop program key performance indicators.
  • Support program management in the preparation of the Business Plan and translate this into the program baseline forecast.
  • Provide support to project teams in preparing their projects budget and work plans.
  • Support the projects in setting up their PMO fuction.
  • Manage the month end processing cycle for the program ensuring all tasks are executed on time and in line with the standards and guidelines.
  • Continually monitor and evaluate each step of the program to ensure that it is meeting budgetary and milestone goals.
  • Prepare and provide the monthly Forecast vs Actuals report and variance analysis report on program level. 
  • Consolidate the project financial reports into a Program Financials dashboard.
  • Ensure accuracy between program level and project level financial reporting.
  • Conduct the financials analysis and budget impact as part of the Change Request process.
  • Monitor adherence of the project timeline in line with the project schedule.
  • Active part of defining the value proposition and follow up value realization.


Profile

 

  • Minimum a professional Qualification/Degree in Finance or Business Administration or equivalent by experience
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience
  • Experience in developing business cases
  • Ability to communicate financial material effectively to non-financial managers
  • Highly developed cross-functional communication and reporting skills
  • Meticulous to detail, able to prioritize and deliver within strict deadlines
  • Ability to work as part of a team and to develop financial knowledge and commercial awareness throughout the Program and Projects
  • Advanced level MS Excel skills with the ability to design complex models
  • Working knowledge of project accounting
  • Capable of working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, and motivated to drive change and foster an environment to help achieve business results
