TietoEVRY Financial Crime Prevention is a leading provider of technologies for fraud prevention, anti-money laundering, and payment security. Over 100 banks worldwide use our products and services to manage risk and improve customer experience. 

As Head of Business Development and Strategy, you will drive the strategy and customer development for international expansion and business growth. You will define and enhance the product vision and oversee the business implementation.

Responsibilities

Business development 

  • Take lead in the development of new business opportunities that support TietoEVRY FCP overall Business Strategy.
  • Identify and propose potential business deals by seeking possible partners, discovering and exploring opportunities.
  • Participate in pre-sales meetings and events.
  • Create business relationships with new international customers. Identify potential partners and strategic partnerships.
  • Market analysis and research to identify and engage with new and existing customers.
  • Create awareness and marketing through conferences and presentations at key events.


Business strategy

  • Lead the definition and design of vision and strategy in collaboration with FCP Platform and P&L teams.
  • Work closely with other stakeholders to ensure alignment on the vision and execution (Corporate Strategy, Sales, Engineering).


Market and opportunity research

  • Identify opportunities for equity investments to drive business growth.
  • Conduct competitor research, benchmarking, and gap analysis. Screen probable business arrangements by analyzing market strategies, contract requirements, business potential, and financial options.
  • Identify trendsetting ideas by researching industry and related events, publications, and announcements, tracking individual contributors and their accomplishments.
  • Develop negotiating strategies and positions by studying integration of new venture with company strategies and operations, examining risks and potentials, estimating partners' needs and goals.
  • Actively monitor Regulatory Directives in Financial Services such as GDPR/MiFiD/PSD2/AML Directives.
  • Provide reports and analysis on market forecasts, trends, and changes that directly or indirectly will affect TietoEVRY Financial Crime Prevention’s existing and future product/service range.


Product portfolio management

  • Identify and validate new product opportunities and take them to commercial solutions.
  • Support product teams to identify new products and opportunities to solve customer needs.
  • Drive new approaches for innovation, product development, and ways of working to capture new business opportunities.
  • Maintaining commercial product portfolio documentation across all products in FCP
  • Maintain strategic roadmap of new business and products. Ensure well-validated prioritization of development resources.
  • Ensure the product strategy is aligned to operational product management (development)


Internal Stakeholder management

  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams in sales, technology platforms, and operation teams.
  • Internal communication and socializing the business strategy
  • Actively contribute and lead business and product development within certain product areas.
  • Provide knowledge and assistance to other operational sales/product development units within TietoEVRY.
  • Enhances organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing requests.

Qualifications

Experience

  • Hands-on experience in managing commercial product development.
  • Proven track record of creating commercial products or businesses with a passion for customer-centric innovation.
  • Experience working with the technology business in Financial Services.
  • Expertise in product and software development processes (design thinking, lean startup, agile)
  • Knowledge of fraud, AML, and payment security
  • 10+ years of experience in product and team management


Skills

  • Strategy and business case development for enterprise fintech products
  • Business development for new technology products with banking customers
  • Influencing cross-functional teams and driving change
  • Managing and coaching staff
  • Relevant academic degree and fluency in English.
