Great, because we are now hiring both an Automation Engineer and Software Engineer to join our Electrical and Automation Department.

Aquaculture – one of the fastest growing industries around the world.

On a global scale, a rapidly growing population is consuming more fish than ever before. This trend is due to the growth and development of sustainable land-based aquaculture, which causes less impact on the environment and builds a better and greener economy. Land-based aquaculture is a fast growing industry where demand for products and services are expected to increase significantly over the years to come. Our owners, Pure Salmon LTD aim to produce as much as 260 000 tons of Atlantic salmon a year. The group has already invested in large land-based fish farms in the US, Poland, France and Japan, and they also have a number of other extensive land-based farming projects in the making, including in China and South Africa. The group focuses on sustainable land-based salmon farming, produced as close as possible to where the consumers live. Beside this, Pure Salmon Kaldnes is at the moment building SalMar Tjuin, the largest landbased fish-farm in the world and Salten Smolt.

Your key working tasks and contributions:

In the role as Automation Engineer or Software Engineer, you will focus on technical installations, improvement projects and interact together with customers, suppliers and multi-discipline teams in Pure Salmon Kaldnes. You will be responsible for obtaining ambitious targets within automation and software installations in prestigious projects in Norway and other nations around the world. You will earn trust through professionalism in your work. These are what we consider to be the key tasks for this positions:

Automation Engineer:

Programming in PLC, HMI and SCADA.
Configuration of instruments.
Commissioning of new installations. (On site).
Participate in multi-discipline projects.
Engineer and build automation and electrical systems.
Participate in tender and concept development projects.
Point of contact for customers, suppliers and project management

Software Engineer:

Programming, debugging and development of our solutions.
Master Python, C#, HTML, etc.
Maintain and develop databases.
Startup of new installations. (On site).
Participate in multi-discipline automation and electrical projects.
Participate in tender and concept development projects.
Point of contact for customers, suppliers and project management.

We estimate 30-50 traveling days per year. Compensation is given accordingly to company guidelines. The position reports to Department manager- Electrical and Automation.

Competence requirements:

Bachelor Degree in relevant areas:
- Relevant experience may compensate for other educational background.
Experience from automation/ software development.
Drivers Licence.
language skills; Nordic and English. (Oral and written).

Meritorious knowledge

Experience from electrical engineering, programming within software, PLC, HMI, SCADA etc.

Work experience:

We believe the perfect candidate has former experience from one or several of the following areas over a period of minimum 2-3 years with excellent results:

Project oriented businesses, electrical engineering, automation, software programming or production industry with complex technology.
