Communications and Marketing Manager

Nordic Unmanned is experiencing significant growth, and is looking to expand the team with a senior, structured and enthusiastic Communications and Marketing Manager. As our Communication and Marketing Manager you will be responsible for ensuring that the company has and adheres to a clear communications strategy, and build the brand of Nordic Unmanned through the use of all relevant communication channels. You will be managing a team of strong talent and report to the Chief Revenue Officer.  

The role is based in Sandnes or Lysaker, Norway, and offers flexible office solutions.  

In addition to a traditional written application, we would also appreciate you including a slightly more innovative story on your motivation of this position, in an alternative media form.


Key responsibilities – How will you help us succeed?

  • Define, develop and implement the organisation’s overall communication and marketing strategies and campaigns 
  • Develop and implement plans for both internal and external communication to ensure increased brand awareness 
  • Manage and develop content across a multitude of platforms and analyse effect of communication efforts 
  • Supports the business development function with related content and tools (concepts, graphics, logos, etc.), and participates in ongoing brand development and marketing of new offerings 
  • Support management in development of external communication such as quarterly reports, stock exchange notices and press releases 
  • Oversee and allocate the annual communications and marketing budget 
  • Develop strategy for tradeshow participation. Manage, plan and organise participation 
  • Act as the primary corporate point of contact for media queries and engagements.

Desired experience and qualifications – What do you bring to the table?

We are looking for a seasoned, enthusiastic and self-motivated manager with relevant experience and proven results from similar role(s) within a rapid growth company. Your strategic approach and ability to deliver results, is more important than formal education. Qualifications we are looking for are: 

  • Proven strong presentation and communication skills 
  • Knowledge and understanding of communications practices, tools and techniques in social media 
  • Ability to develop proactive and reactive media strategy  
  • Incident handling 
  • Development relevant ground-breaking market content 
  • Highly developed project and time management skills 
  • Proven track record in handling media 
  • Knowledge about communication to investors and stock market  

Language requirements:  

  • English & Norwegian - Fluent 
  • Additional: French, Spanish or German at working level is an advantage
