What You'll Do

We are looking for a Production Manager to lead our journey from low to high-volume production of robots. You will be responsible for developing and leading the execution of our production strategy. This includes everything from collaborating with the R&D team and partners to find the best manufacturing technologies, setting up production lines, overseeing HSEQ aspects, and planning a robust supply chain strategy to leading the development of a supporting ERP solution. An ideal candidate has had a key leadership role in production for a company in the automotive or similar industry.


Responsibilities:

  • Strategic and tactical responsibility of implementing the production strategy and strategic operational goals for product quality, cost, and delivery, maximizing efficiency, optimizing production levels, and driving operational excellence.
  • Provide hands-on leadership in the process of establishing low-cost/high-quality manufacturing of robots, sub-assemblies, and components in high volumes.
  • Lead and further develop Supply Chain, Assembly, and ERP functions
  • Drive Key Performance Indicators across all areas of the Production function to ensure that all projects are delivered on cost and on time to the highest quality standards.
  • Provide clear leadership and vision, inspire and motivate staff to achieve excellence, and mentor them as they develop new skills.
  • Ensure Health, Safety, and Environmental issues are prioritized and facilitated, direct and drive implementation of Lean Business strategy and drive Continuous Improvement across all manufacturing related areas of the business.


Requirements:

  • A University degree or Masters in a relevant engineering or manufacturing discipline
  • Experience leading a manufacturing function with a proven track record in operational and strategic manufacturing leadership delivering effective manufacturing strategies, policies, processes, and systems
  • Proven leadership and management skills with the ability to optimize team performance and development
  • Excellent relationship management skills with the ability to engage, negotiate and manage key stakeholders and suppliers
  • A strong and confident negotiator with the ability to negotiate at all levels
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and influencing skills
  • Resilient, self-motivated, and able to work well under pressure
  • Technical mindset
  • An appreciation of and an ability to positively resolve issues arising from different cultures
