Job description
As a member of the Solution Architect team, you have the responsibility to design and oversee key parts of the technical product development in Bluestone PIM. You will be a very important participant in our architectural discussions and decisions. A key responsibility is to maximise development's contribution to the market value and competitive advantage for Bluestone PIM.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Design and describe features, development tasks and business requirements of Bluestone PIM to development teams
- Discuss solution architecture with team leads, product owners, HoE/EVPT and developers
- The main responsibility for the design and implementation when developing new services
- Research new technology like AWS services and other technologies and contribute to continuous improvement
- Lead advanced troubleshooting and performance improvement tasks, together with development teams
- Develop testing guidelines and maintain technology stack
- Coordinate wishes and demands for modifications and new functionalities with our prioritized partners and customers
- Keep up to date on the PIM market, the feature base of our competitors and the needs of potential and existing customers
- Participate in relevant Sprint meetings (Sprint Review, Sprint Planning, Sprint Retrospective) with development teams
- Propose improvements to our processes, especially regarding the development process, quality assurance, monitoring and security
- Propose improvements to our product, especially regarding user experience (UX), new features and API structure
Competence/education
- BSc or MSc in software development or similar.
Relevant experience can compensate for education.
Experience
- You have at least 5 years of experience with software specifications
- You are an experienced developer
- You have extensive experience with distributed systems, and MACH technology (Microservices, ApiFirst, CloudNative and Headless)
- REST API, GraphQL, Elasticsearch, MongoDB, Redis.
- Experience with cloud platforms is highly valued. Preferably AWS, but experience with Azure or Google Cloud can compensate for a lack of AWS experience.
- Experience with PIM, e-commerce, ERP, integrations is an advantage but not a prerequisite
