We are looking for our next Vendor Contracting Manager 

Are you driven by challenges and demanding business opportunities? Do you have proven record within strategic framework for projects and vendor contracting? Are you always striving for the best solutions? Then you might be the Vendor Contracting Manager we are looking for. 

You will together with the Director Strategic Alliances and Yard Contracting and other relevant Altera groups to develop and maintain generic vendor project contracting strategies from early phase work to project execution.  

You will work closely with Supply Chain to align on compliance requirements, strategies, system use, vendor selection criteria, vendor experience, vendor tiering and contract forms. Besides that, you will also work closely with Study managers and Project Managers, to ensure contractual requirements are followed and proper communication and documentation of changes. 

We are looking for a candidate that is flexible, self-driven and motivated by learning.  

 

Some of the things you will be doing:

  • Develop and coordinate vendor contracting and procurement strategies for specific projects. Ensures that these strategies are in compliance with Altera's requirements. 
  • Coordinates efforts on strategic alliances with major vendors based on competitive advantage and new business opportunities.  
  • Develop and maintain generic vendor selection criteria, including HSEQ, human right and sustainability aspects, and support project teams in developing project specific criteria 
  • Develop and maintain and overview of project contracting framework, including financing scheme available for selected key strategic vendors 
  • Responsible for establishing the specific project General Terms & Conditions for vender purchase orders, in close consultation with Legal and Director Supply Chain 
  • In close cooperation with corporate and business unit supply chain ensure alignment on compliance requirements, strategies, system use, vendor selection criteria, vendor experience sharing, communication/meeting plans, vendor tiering, contract forms and other critical aspects for the role.  
  • Responsible for the development and implementation of Project Procurement Management procedures/systems in close cooperation with Altera corporate groups.  
  • Supports the assigned Project Procurement Manager to manage major vendors ensuring all contractual requirements are adhered to and management of PO change are appropriately coordinated and timely reported. 

What we are looking for:

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree or higher and have minimum 5 years of relevant experience  
  • Preferably experience from a similar role 
  • Knowledge of Oil & Gas is a definite advantage, but not a requirement 
  • High integrity and strong relational skills 
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills applied to a multi-disciplined project team   
  • A team player who can work independently as well 
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills both in Norwegian and English 
  • Strong IT skills
