Experienced Scientist in Preclinical Research

Zelluna Immunotherapy is an exciting and dynamic start-up based in Oslo and specializing in T Cell Receptor (TCR) cell therapies with a distinctive approach. The company is developing TCR guided Natural Killer cells (TCR-NK) as an allogeneic off-the-shelf cellular treatment option for solid cancer patients.

We are seeking an experienced cellular biologist or immunologist to support the development and expansion of our TCR-NK platform. The successful candidate will be passionate and excited by our approach and is someone who thrives in a continuous learning start-up culture as well as being dedicated to working with a team to deliver on our collective purpose.

Key Responsibilities

• To contribute to the assessment of our TCR-NK cell portfolio in in vitro experiments

• To initiate, lead and execute laboratory work to advance company objectives to agreed experiment deadlines, schedules, and objectives

• To isolate and culture human immune cells and perform functional T and NK cell assays

• To generate virus and perform transductions as well as NK cell expansions

• To offer insights and expertise on technical elements and direction of experiments

• To ensure that all records and information are accurate, on time and recorded to the correct standard

• To work to the established laboratory procedure standards and the electronic infrastructure at Zelluna

• To participate in a team culture of engagement, enthusiasm, scientific rigor and ongoing challenge

Basic requirements

• MSc or PhD in Cellular Biology, Molecular Biology or a related discipline

• Relevant life science experience with engineered cell experience preferred and industry experience an advantage

• Strong understanding of immunology and experience in NK cell biology is an advantage

• Expertise in T and/or NK cell-based assays (e.g. ELISA/ELISpot, FACS, cancer cell killing, multiplex cytokine assays etc.) is a requirement

• Competence in molecular biology and retroviral and lentiviral experience is an advantage

• A proven ability to assimilate data and findings from multiple sources to advance programmes

• Ability to work very accurately with a very good documentation standard

• An appetite to work in a start-up company with a “roll your sleeves up” mindset
