Junior Legal Counsel 

Data protection officer, technology and information Law

We are looking to hire a person with 3-5 years’ experience, preferably with lawyers’ license and with experience with legal work from law firms and/or in-house positions, who is triggered by the possibility of working within an international environment and for a Norwegian and well-recognized brand.  

The Junior Legal Counsel shall have strong experience within the field of personal data protection and privacy law and will be the data protection officer in Stokke safeguarding the compliance and work cross functional within the company. The ideal candidate shall further have experience preferably within technology and information law (including CRM) and with intellectual property law. In addition to the above work, Stokke’s new Junior Legal Counsel will also assist within general contract law and marketing related issues. 

The position therefore requires very good understanding of both data protection regulations and technology law, and with IPR and general contract related law, as well as a strong commercial orientation and interest and the ability to work cross teams. Excellent communication skills, both English and Norwegian, are a prerequisite. We are seeking candidates who are academically strong and independent and efficient within a busy working-environment. The candidate possesses a pragmatic personality and a solution- and team-oriented approach to work.

The Legal Department of Stokke consists of 4 people, two in Norway (Oslo and Ålesund) and two in Shanghai reporting into Oslo. This position will be based in Oslo and will report to General Counsel in Oslo.
